Kristin Fisher joined the CNN Space and Defense Correspondent team in July of 2021. In her role as Space and Defence Correspondent at CNN, she is responsible to cover everything ranging from NASA and the newly formed Space Force up until commercial space firms, as well as the rise and development of space tourism. Kristin is her mother was one of NASA astronauts and a space enthusiast was raised within the space industry. She spent five years working as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy during the Biden and Trump Administrations. Over the course of her tenure, she reported on the presidential 2020 campaign, two impeachment trials and two attempts to prevent the pandemic coronavirus, in addition to two distinct administrations' initiatives. She traveled extensively with both the president and vice-president also included an exclusive trip to Afghanistan and Afghanistan, which she travelled on with Donald Trump. Kristin has worked in the newsrooms of local markets like Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as Washington, D.C. for nearly a decade before joining the CBS network. Kristin was the recipient of an Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. for her work as the CBS affiliate's one-man band reporter. With her experience behind the camera, Kristin established Field Mouse Films in 2014. The company focused on making documentary-style movies for corporate clients including Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Boston University. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and their three year old daughter.
